BBC. Turning Planet Earth III Into an Immersive Premiere Experience

BBC Planet Earth III Premiere Experience

Together with Flywheel PR, John Weston Group was invited to support the Polish premiere of Planet Earth III, one of the most iconic documentary productions in the history of television storytelling.

The invitation came from Iwona Cieśla and the Flywheel PR team, an agency known for its innovative approach to communication around television formats and media productions, with a portfolio connected to some of the most recognizable international entertainment and documentary projects.

The project focused on creating an immersive premiere experience translating the emotional depth and cinematic scale of the series into a physical environment. Together with the team, we developed a multisensory narrative space inspired by the natural habitats, textures, soundscapes, and visual language of the BBC production.

At the center of the experience was a monumental immersive nest installation designed as a symbolic meeting point between humanity, technology, and nature. Through scenography, light, sound, motion, and spatial storytelling, the environment was created to evoke emotion rather than traditional event communication.

The project combined experiential design, audiovisual production, storytelling, and spatial direction to create a premiere format built around atmosphere, emotion, and memory. Every element of the experience was designed to reinforce the unique sensitivity and cinematic language associated with BBC productions.

For me, the project became another example of how modern brand and cultural experiences are no longer built around information alone, but around emotion, immersion, and the ability to make people truly feel part of the story.
